The idea that scotch should be a minimum of 12 years to become loved 

is a very common understanding among 

scotch consumers everywhere. 

However, one clients are to prove them wrong. 

This scotch is simply 2 yrs shy from the twelve year mark, 

but keeps growing in recognition..   

Enter Glenkinchie this ten years old malt is 

86 proof along with a very pale gold colored. 

It features a reminiscent scent of peat moss along 

with a grassy field that finishes rather sweet.

Its is medium to light, it is regarded as 

well-rounded lowland malt. 

Ultimately it stays dry, and has a hint if ginger root.   

Initially created in 1837 with a player, 

this malt clearly has some history.
The initial who owns the distillery offered it to a different

player who used the distillery like a cattle shed and sawmill. 

This property was again offered in 1880 

and came back to its natural intention to create fine 

malt before the whiskey boom within the 1890s.  

This single malt is going to be loved through 

the new and revered through the old single malt fanatics.
